Crispiness depends on exactly enough oil: too little and they stick, too much and they fry soft. Two measured pours from Measure Mate get it right, and Flavor Press lays down garlic powder in one even pass instead of clumps.
How it’s made
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, 15–18 minutes. Drain and let steam dry 5 minutes.
- Set the potatoes on a sheet pan. Hold Measure Mate to the 2 tbsp line and pour the oil over them. Toss to coat.
- Smash each potato flat with the bottom of a glass.
- Hold Measure Mate to the 1 tbsp line and drizzle the oil over the smashed tops. Press 1 tsp of garlic powder evenly across the pan. Sprinkle with salt.
- Roast at 450°F for 25–30 minutes, until the edges are deeply browned. Finish with chives.
